 Heres how it works

We start with a chat initially to see if we’re a good fit and aligned. I’ll give you guidance on getting your website copy and images ready. Then if we’re good to go, you’ll pay your 50% deposit and we’ll book your week in the diary to lock it in. I’ll also send you an onboarding questionnaire to complete at least three days before your booking.

On Day 1 we’ll have our start up call on the first day of our Website in a Week together. We’ll make sure we have all your design assets (logo, images, etc) so that we are ready to go, and I’ll start getting things all set up at my end with your Squarespace account.

design

This is the super fun part! On Day 2, I’ll start by designing your Home page first as this sets the tone for the whole site. We’ll have a check in to make sure that you are 100% happy with the design direction (things like the colours and font styling, etc).

Once we’ve got the design direction locked in, I’ll then start rolling out the design across the other pages of your website (Day 2-4), and you’ll give feedback along the way so that we can keep things moving. It’s collaborative and calm, with no endless back-and-forth. I will also start the domain connection process (don’t worry - I’ll make the whole thing super easy and stress-free for you!)

day of launch

By day 5, we’ll have all the website designed and signed off - almost ready to launch! But to make sure your site works while you sleep, I will also get the  SEO bits and pieces set up for you in the background. This will include meta titles and descriptions, alt-text, image naming, etc. And I will also help you set up Google Search Console and submit your Sitemap. Without getting too techy, these are the important steps to make sure that Google (and your dream clients!) can actually find you and your website.

Then, it’s GO time! We’ll launch your brand new digital home and you can share with all your friends!

A few things to know before we start

  • Yes, ideally you’ll need your colours, fonts, and logo ready to go. If you don’t have these yet, I recommend starting with Brand in a Day first - you’ll get a $600 discount when booked together.

  • You can either bring your own (ideally professionally written), use my DIY Website Copy Guide, or add on done-for-you copywriting as a separate service. If you’re unsure which route to take, I can help you decide. Just book a call and we can go from there.

  • Yes. Every site I build is mobile responsive and includes basic SEO best practices - like heading tags, image descriptions, and meta titles. I will also help set up Google Search Console and submit your sitemap to Google. Keyword research and ongoing SEO is not included.

  • Definitely. I’ll set up your Squarespace plan for you and you’ll get 20% off with my Circle Membership. Once the site is complete, I will hand over ownership to you in Squarespace.

  • Basic integrations such as connecting your social media accounts are included. If you have other booking systems already (such as Calendly for example) this can also be included. We can discuss what integrations you’ll need and what can be included within the standard package. If its looking like some of the integrations are more complex, we can discuss a custom package for setting all of this up. The Website in a Week package does not include the set up of any email marketing systems or automated flow sequences for emails.

  • Q: What if I need more pages?
    The Website in a Week package includes your 5 main pages - Home, About, Services, Contact, News (for example). Also included in the package are your hidden pages for Privacy Policy, and 404 Error page. If you need extra pages, we can discuss a custom package or what might be possible within the WIAW scope when we have our initial call.
